The mother followed them at a distance, veering inwhen near my shoal to take another look at the fishthere. Three were floating now instead of two; theothers — what were left of them — struggled feebly atthe surface. Chip, cliweee ! she whistled disdainfully;plenty fish here, but mighty poor fishing.
