Sicilian silk cloth (125,5 x 239 cms) with white rabbits, early 13th c.? The cloth was found in the Karlsschrein, the reliquary chest of Charlemagne, where it was put, according to tradition, by the emperor Frederick II in 1215. Textile collection of Aachen Cathedral Treasury, Aachen, Germany.
