Juvenile starling resting on a pony, New Forest. This pony is grazing in the dried-out boggy bottom to the west of Ferny Crofts, and seems unperturbed by the young starling perched on its shoulder. The bird had nowhere else to perch in this patch of wet heath, and was flitting from pony to pony. For a wider view of the same bird on a different beast see 223455.
