Wet ponies on the edge of Fritham Plain, New Forest This pony and her foal are grazing on a well-cropped area of grass, north of the track that leads into Sloden Inclosure (on the left). Light rain and winds do not distract the ponies from their primary activity (grazing) - they will only seek shelter if it is really cold. In the far distance are the trees of Islands Thorns Inclosure.
