San Diego, Calif. (May 18, 2004) - Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Jaime Perez, of Los Angeles, Calif., holds Military Working Dog (MWD) Barry, a three-year-old Belgian Malinois while biting the well protected hand of Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Clemente Cisneros, during a recent training session at the San Diego Naval Base dog kennel. The MWDs are used as detectors because of their well-developed senses. They can detect explosives, narcotics and track a lost or hidden person or object.
