Alano Español or Spanish bulldog, mascot of the Spanish conquistadors brought on his expeditions around the globe being the most famous of these dogs of war was mascot to Ponce de Leon called Becerrillo, another famous example called Leoncico who was the son of Becerillo was mascot to Vasco Núñez de Balboa accompanying im on several expeditions and was the first European dog to see the Pacific Ocean.
