LAC Daniel Morton and MWD 'Piper' in the snowy landscape. Exercise Blackbird 2011, a 3 Squadron exercise held once a year at Dip Flat. During the exercise, 3 Sqn pilots and crewman train in mountain flying. They are supported by 3 Sqn Maintainance, CIS (Communications), Medics, Suppliers, Chefs, Ops personnel etc. The exercise is held in two rotations.
