This stuffed and mounted cat's skin may be that of 'Crimean Tom', a tabby cat adopted by British troops during the Crimean war and brought back to England. He wears a leather collar with a silver plaque inscribed 'T/Sebastopol' and is on display in the National Army Museum, London.
