Blackie was one of two feral cats who moved into our garage one winter with 2 feet of snow on the ground. We fed them for a while, then moved the food gradually into the house. At first she would come in, eat, then go out for the rest of the day. Eventually she decided she liked the warm house and stayed. After a few months whenever I sat down she would run up and jump in my lap.
