This pretty little kitten lives in the ancient walled city of Harar, Ethiopia. You can tell she's loved because her human associates have given her a nice pile of fabric to rest on. Also, she's well fed and her fur is in good condition. You can't see it in this photo, but she had a leash to keep her from wandering away from home. Not a bad precaution in a city where hyenas scavange at night. Alas, we didn't have a chance to visit. I was with a group; she was with her people. Under different circumstances, I'd like to think I could have arranged for her to come home with me.
