100 x (around the house photos) 19/100 Chipmunk tries unsuccessfully to strike a deal with Chico. Later, we reach the compromise that we'll only let the cats out once we've made enough noise to announce their presence on the porch and only after they are already well fed. We had a few missteps last year where a cat picked up a chipmunk and ran into the house with it. No worries though - all chipmunks were rescued before the cat could 'play' with them.
